33rd Töpferei Lehmann Pottery Festival, Neukirch/Lausitz

The festival began with the traditional arrival of the potters at the market with flag bearers, brass band music, and the participating potters, each carrying one of their works.

A strong wind was already blowing, and everyone was well wrapped up while setting up their stands, but this did not spoil the good mood and the joy of seeing each other again. The final catering preparations and chores, children’s pottery and tableware painting, and the musical background hum of the market took place in a good mood. The selection of ceramics was varied and colourful, and it was a delight to see the potters’ ideas and how they were realised.
