Internationale Keramiktage Oldenburg

On 4th and 5th August 2018 this famous ceramic market organized by the Werkschule Oldenburg took place in the area around the ducal castle.

On the castle square in the center of Oldenburg ceramic lovers and collectors could admire and buy high-class tableware made of ceramics and porcelain as well as objects of art in all forms, sizes and styles.

With perfect weather conditions there were about 130 exhibitors coming from all over Europe who showed their wide range of manual and artistic work.

The prizes donated show the high quality and high level of this outstanding market.

The prize of NEUE KERAMIK / NEW CERAMICS by Mr. Bernd Pfannkuche went to Si-Sook Kang from Kellinghusen, Germany.

The Dedlev-Schmid-Wilkens Prize for Ceramics was donated in three categories:
• Surface: André von Martens from Luckaitztal, Germany
• Function: Caroline Peeters from Eindhoven, Netherlands
• Innovation: Keith Varney from Radstock, Great Britain

All visitors of the market could vote and donate the audience award. The prize money was donated by SIBELCO. Due to the same number of votes there were two winners: Dagmar Langer and Angelika Jansen (both from Germany).
